Trash Tape Hats

I knit these hats as merch for my best friends who run Trash Tape Records. They put on a festival every year (Taking Out the Trash) with their artists and friends and other favorite artists, so I put together some special hats for the fest on Valentine’s day 2026. It was so fun seeing everyone wearing these hats at the shows and seeing them walk out with them on to go out and spread Trash Tape. There was even a baby wearing a Trash Tape hat

I knit the hat with this free pattern, added a duplicate stitch for the lettering, and crocheted the border with braided tassels
